Crocheted Marshmallow Peeps for my friends

Hi!
I am happy to post this card today. I made it for my "first American friend in life" (according to my daughter Dana) Diane. I had so much fun crocheting these cute little bunnies. Little did I know how hard it would be to finish their little faces. I tried so many things, digging in my stash of beads, needles and thread to make them look real. Nothing helped, either the wrong needle or the big beads. I had to re-sew the eyes and noses several times. But in the end I loved them so much I had to kiss them. All the members of my family had to say how cute they are, no matter if they really thought so or I just made them say it.

I cut the basket using my Cameo machine and the image is from Silhouette store.

Enjoy!

  1. LOL at Dana. She is so cute. I still get a giggle over "Diane is everywhere." I think I might make myself a t-shirt with that one.

I am sorry these faces gave you such a hard time. I looked at them closer when you wrote that and it doesn't show. No way can you tell that these poor bunnies may have had their eyes or noses punched prior to getting their cute little faces done. ;)

This card is adorable in this photo, but I can testify that it is a gazillion times cuter in person. My kiddos and I were making peeps of joy when we saw this one. We are still peeping three days later. :) I pick it up about 20 times a day just to look at it. It is so friggin' cute!

I love the lace that you threaded through the basket, T. And the peeps are so seriously adorable that they will be peeping here all year round and not just for Easter. I am so glad you posted this. I was tempted to take a photo and put it on my blog, but I know that my photo skills leave a bit to be desired, and I would not have done it justice.

Tatiana is one the sweetest, funniest, and most talented people I know. There is nothing she cannot make or figure out. This card making thing is just the tip of the iceberg. This woman has many amazing layers, and a big, giant brain and heart, and anyone would be lucky to call her "friend."

Glad that Cameo got to flex it's muscles. I am waiting to see what you do with it next!
